Swedbank Latvia Management

Head of Swedbank, members of the Management Board and the extended management team are responsible for Swedbank Latvia’s day-to-day operations in accordance with Swedbank Group’s strategic direction and established policies, and in compliance with the external regulations. The Management Board ensures the proper accounting and effective internal control systems. The Management Board reports to the Council.

Council is responsible for overseeing and supervising that the Bank has sound and effective risk management, internal control, governance, nomination and remuneration process and auditing in place. Different committees are assisting the Council in fulfilling its responsibilities.

Swedbank Baltics AS is a sole shareholder of Swedbank Latvia. Swedbank Baltics AS together with its subsidiary banks, including Swedbank Latvia, forms the Baltic consolidation group, supervised by the European Central Bank.

Swedbank Baltics AS provides Swedbank Latvia with the strategic guidance and coordinates the business development and processes, enabling Swedbank Latvia to benefit from Swedbank Group synergies. Swedbank Baltics AS is a holding company and does not provide financial services and has no customers.
