New names of Swedbank’s pension plans

The new names follow the basic principles set by the Bank of Latvia, making them simpler and more intuitive.

The renaming of the plans does not affect the investment strategy or structure of these plans. The names include the name of the bank, the investment structure, and the target age group.

Notification to 3rd Pillar Pension Plan Participants - Amendments to the Terms of Standing Orders

Please be notified that the Bank will, in accordance with Clause 6 of the Terms of Standing Orders, amend the Terms of Standing Orders in respect of payments by the Bank’s private customers to the pension schemes managed by Swedbank Atklatais Pensiju Fonds AS. The terms will be restated in a new wording and given a new name “Automatic Fund Investments Order (F)”. You can access these amendments – the Terms of Automatic Fund Investments Order (F) – here.

The amendments will enter into force on 17.08.2015.

Please note some of the main amendments to the terms:

1. If credit line is available to the Customer, the credit line funds may be used for executing orders on automatic pension plans investment, except where the Customer, at the time of giving the order on automatic pension plan investments, has permitted to use only personal funds for execution of the payment. (see Clause 4.4 of the Automatic Fund Investments Order).
2. If the Customer, in their order for automatic pension plan investments, has allowed currencies to be exchanged in the account and the account, on the investment date, lacks the investment amount in the investment amount currency stated in the order, then the Bank shall convert the amount of money present in the account into the investment amount currency stated in the order at the Bank’s exchange rate in force on the date of investment using the other currencies present in the account which match the investment amount stated in the automatic investment order and match the unauthorized debit account in the Account and/or the mandatory account balance set by the Customer and/or the outstanding credit line amount if the Customer, at the time of giving the order on automatic pension plan investments, has permitted to use only personal funds for execution of the payment (see Clause 4.4 of the Automatic Fund Investments Order).

The above-mentioned are just some of the amendments to the Terms of Standing Orders concerning contributions to pension schemes managed by Swedbank Atklatais Pensiju Fonds AS, therefore, please be reminded that Customers, according to Clause 6 of the Terms of Standing Orders, have the right and the duty to familiarize themselves with all changes in the Terms of Standing Orders as concerns contributions to pension schemes managed by Swedbank Atklatais Pensiju Fonds AS at the premises of the Bank during business hours of the Bank and on the website of the Bank.

About amendments to 3rd pillar pension plans

On 8 August 2014, the Finance and Capital Market Commission approved amendments to the pension plans administered by Swedbank Atklātais Pensiju Fonds - Swedbank Pension Plan Stability+25, Swedbank Pension Plan Dynamics+60, Swedbank Pension Plan Dynamics+(USD) and Swedbank Pension Plan Dynamics+100. The amendments entered into force on 8 August 2014.

The amendments alter the procedure set forth in the pension plans for notifying pension plan participants and the procedure for paying the supplementary pension capital, incl. to heirs or to a person appointed by the pension plan participant. Amendments have also been made in Section 10 of the pension plans, supplementing it with paragraph 10.11 according to the wording of the Private Pension Funds Low. Please note some of the main amendments to the terms:

1. Where the overdraft or credit line facility has been granted to the Customer, the funds available under such overdraft or credit line facility will not be used for execution of orders for automatic investments in the pension plan, except currency exchange (see Clauses 4.4 - 4.5 of the Automatic Fund Investments Order).
2. If the Customer has allowed currency exchange in the account and has also fixed an obligatory account balance, the amount of money in the currency, in which the obligatory account balance is fixed, may be converted using other currencies in the account (see Clause 4.6 of the Automatic Fund Investments Order). The currency of the obligatory balance is the investment currency indicated in the order.
